Der Wettkampf begann aufgrund von Problemen mit der Zeitmessung 15 Minuten später. Gleich nach dem Start konnte sich Jens Mergenthaler (14:09 min) absetzen und holte sich ungefährdet die Baden-Württembergische Meisterschaft der Männer und der U23. Leider hat er die Qualifikationszeit von 14:02 min für die U23 Europameisterschaften um 7 Sekunden verpasst. Ich bin mir aber sicher, dass er Qualizeit dieses Jahr noch erreicht.
Ich lief von Beginn an sehr unrund und musste schon nach wenigen Minuten kämpfen. Deshalb verlor ich jede Runde einige Sekunden auf die Verfolgergruppe und musste sie dann nach der Hälfte der Strecke ziehen lassen. Die Durchgangszeit nach 3000 Metern war 9:30 min, also 3:10/km. Bei dieser Pace hätte es noch für eine Zeit unter 16 Minuten gereicht. Doch die nächsten Runden wurde es immer schwerer das Tempo zu halten und ich wurde langsamer. Die letzten 2 Runden hätte ich noch in 2:30 min laufen müssen, um es noch gerade so unter die 16 Minuten Marke zu schaffen. Am Ende hat es wegen wenigen Sekunden leider nicht gereicht. Die genaue Zeit kenne ich leider nicht, da es noch keine offizielle Ergebnisliste gibt.
Nach 2 harten Wettkampfwochen bin ich aber trotzdem zufrieden und ich bin gespannt was ich bei den Deutschen Halbmarathonmeisterschaften in Freiburg leisten kann.
